Here are some proven ways to getting rid of ground squirrels

In the context of squirrels, complaints of homeowners usually have to do something to harm the wires, siding, insulation and household items, when they install their nests in attics or other buildings. Squirrels also harm bird feeders, flowers and vegetable gardens in the process of forging for food. There is no magic spray or repellent to get rid of nuisance squirrels. The only proven way to how to get rid of ground squirrel is to stop access, limit food sources and get trapped.

1.Stop Access: Squirrels gain access to homes and especially in the attics via small opening and other structural weaknesses. Although it is not always possible to find and close every point of entry, you will do a lot to getting rid of ground squirrels
by practicing the following methods:
•Trim trees and other bushes away from home and roof.
•Secure a sheet of sheet metal on the chimney outlet.

2.Limit Food Sources: Squirrels are not going to last long or to build their own home until they have enough food sources to maintain.
•Clean the regularly fallen fruits such as berries in your garden.
•If possible, cover garden crops with wire mesh cage.
•Do not leave pets at night.
•Keep the bird feeder 20 feet away from home or structure.

3.Traps: Two traps that we recommended capturing a safe and effective squirrel, is the Havahart Cage Trap Model 0745, and Havahart Cage Trap Model 1078. Havahart recommends contacting the humanitarian law or the local or state sports commission so that one can set a trap to determine the law. Release a captured wild or nuisance animal. Many species are protected by law in different states.
